Literary genius of Child
Srimanta Sankaradeva was born in Nagaon Distric of Assam in c1449. He lost both his father and mother at a very tender age and was raised by his grandmother Khersuti. When sankardeva was 12, his grandmother persuaded him with much effort to enroll with the tol (school) at the great and popular contemporary scholar Mahendra kandali.
Immediately after he had learnt the alphabet, Sankardeva composed this poem avoiding compound word. The unique thing about this poem is that it is composed entirely of consonants and contains no vowel.
This exquisitely sweet poem dedicated to and describing the attributes of Lord Krishna, the lotus-eyed Lord, who is the dispeller of all fear and worldly affliction:
